Obama spent a significant amount of time in his childhood living in an Islamic context in Indonesia. He is therefore uniquely qualified to compare and contrast Islam with the U.S. Constitution. Yet he is virtually silent on the issue. Why?
The evidence says that he (a) was born into a nominally Muslim family, (b) went occasionally to mosque with his father, and (c) studied some form of Islam at school in Indonesia. However, he now claims to be a Christian, and he appears to have given up his weak association with Islam in favor of an Afro-centric version of Christianity—though he is still unwilling to say anything negative about Islam.
