Insurance without a job
Monday, December 5th, 2011Finding insurance when you’re out of a job can be I nightmare I lost my job a while ago and I couldn’t seem to getmedical insurance in CT for unemployed families anywhere. I tried every option I could think of and most of them just didn’t work. I tried COBRA insurance, but the rates were sky high. That didn’t deter me much. I kept trying new options, even looking for low income insurance for CT, thinking that maybe I could get low income insurance without a job, but that didn’t turn out so great. Since I had lost my job recently and most of the applications had me fill out my annual income, I couldn’t qualify.
I knew I had enough money in my savings account to cover the premiums until I got a new job. My only problem was finding insurance. I started flooding job applications everywhere I could. I figured the faster I got a job the quicker I would be able to get insurance. All the while I kept looking for medical insurance in CT for unemployed, and after a while I finally got accepted by Aetna. Their plan had basic coverage, but really that was all I could afford at the moment. And as if that wasn’t good enough, I got called in for a job interview on the same day. If I ace this interview I might not need that insurance plan after all but it’s good to know where to apply if ever get in this situation again. I’m all prepared for the job interview and soon I plan to be a working man again. My luck seems to be turning around. Hopefully it stays that way.
