Trying to Talk

Wednesday, December 21st, 2011

I tried to talk to my boss today. I wanted to tell him what I think that we should implement for IT service management. I could tell that he did not really know what I was talking about. He stood there and nodded but I know that he was not listening all that closely. He then told me that since I am the office computer expert that I should write up a proposal and then give a copy to him.

The converastion I had with Ken

Friday, December 16th, 2011

On Saturday I went with my neighbor Ken to go look at some of the caves in the area that the native Indians had used centuries before. Ken has been studying obscure Indian tribes that had been living in Southern California and had moved on or had died out. Some of the caves were actually quite close to existing housing tracks. While we were looking at some of the caves Ken told me that starting next week he was going to have the DISH HD Network service put into his house. He said I should look into the same service because of the great price.

I Fixed My Computer

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

A few weeks ago I was working on a big project for work. I was really worried about my project because my computer was freezing up and running slowly. I called a friend of mine and told him that my computer keeps freezing. Unfortunately, he didn’t really have any helpful advice so I had to look online. Fortunately, I found the information that I needed on my own. I found a registry clean up site that described all of my problems. I downloaded the software and my computer works great.

My Brother Almost Had to Buy a New iPod

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

I lent my iPod to my brother, who wanted to use it at the gym. I was not quite sure if he had dropped it or gotten it wet, but when he came back to me, it was frozen. I did what I normally do, sure it would take seconds and nothing happened. Even after following all of the steps in support, I could not recover iPod to a usable state. I looked online and found this site and they helped. I think they will be useful for future issues.

My Husband Told Her About Redmine

Sunday, November 13th, 2011

My friend came over the other day and had lunch with my husband and myself. She seemed kind of stressed out over work. My husband told her about a software called Redmine that she could use to manage the different projects that she is in charge of right now. My friend is so afraid that things will not get done on time. I think that she needs to stop keeping track of so many things by hand and use technology in order to be more efficient.

More often

Saturday, November 12th, 2011

Thankfully I was able to recover deleted files on my computer. My husband was trying to clean up our desktop and he ended up throwing all types of stuff that I will be needing. I told him that for now on he is not allowed to get onto my computer. I want him to leave my stuff alone because he does not know what I am going to need and what I am okay deleting. I should clean up my stuff a little more often.

My Computer Locks Up With Windows Explorer

Thursday, November 10th, 2011

I like browsing for files and documents on my hard drive using the “Windows Explorer” feature in the operating system. Alternatively, many people prefer to click on the “My Computer” icon from the Start Menu or desktop; this window commonly shows drive letters first, such as “C” and “D,” which is not necessary all the time. I need quick and immediate access to my folders, and Windows Explorer gives me that convenience by listing the “My Documents” folder and subfolders in the left pane. Unfortunately, my computer locks up sometimes when I access Windows Explorer.

The driver I found for Ken

Wednesday, November 9th, 2011

My whole Saturday was spent over at my cousin Ken’s house in Costa Mesa. I had originally gone over there to watch the UCLA bruin game. We both like UCLA and watch most of the football games with one another. After the game was over we took the time to try and find a monitor driver update for Ken’s computer. It didn’t take us very long to find a website that offered such a driver. I like finding things like this online.
