Chicago Pastor’s Luncheon

DATE & TIME: March 31, 2009 12 NOON to 2:00 PM

Truth For Muslims will be sponsoring a free seminar and information luncheon for pastors and church leaders at the Brixen Ivy Community Center in Wrigleyville.

Participants will leave the luncheon better equipped to help their congregations understand the spread of Islam from a biblical world-view and engage with Muslims in their local community.

At the luncheon, Richard will present “Mohammed,” a segment of his class “The Challenge of Islam” and John will present “Crossing Cultural Bridges With Muslims,” a segment of his class “A Comprehensive Biblical Response.” There will also be an informal time to ask questions.

Truth For Muslims will be sponsoring a free seminar open to all Christians at the Brixen Ivy Community Center.

Participants will leave the presentation better equipped to understand Islam from a biblical world-view and how to engage with Muslims and witness for Christ to them in their local community.

Representatives of ministries doing outreach to Muslims in Chicago will be present. Participants will be able to learn more about these ministries.

Richard Braun. Richard Braun, an economist by trade, began to study Islam intensively after 9/11. He has been personally trained and mentored by former Muslim and Islamic Sharia law jurist, Sam Solomon. Richard teaches classes on a variety of topics, including “Islamic History,” “Mohammed,” “The Quran,” “The Five Pillars & Basic Beliefs of Muslims,” and “Comparative Theology: Islam and Christianity.” His teaching is in growing demand in churches across the U.S. Richard serves on the Board of Directors and is Vice-President of Truth For Muslims.

John Marion. For more than two decades John has interacted with Muslims to bring them the gospel. He lived in Afghanistan witnessing to local Muslims in towns and villages during the time of the mujahedeen wars and the rise of the Taliban. John, in his role as President of Truth For Muslims, now serves the church in America, expanding his impact through discipleship. He teaches classes such as “Muslim Evangelism,” “Muslim Culture,” “Beliefs and Practices of Muslims,” and “A Comprehensive, Biblical Response to Islam in America.”

Truth For Muslims is dedicated to bringing a comprehensive, Biblical response to the three forms of Islam in America: to popular Islam through evangelism, to theological Islam through apologetics, and to political Islam through frank dialogue and public accountability.
